Dennis started in broadcasting with WRLR Radio in Illinois, and was Sports Director for over 5 years there. 

He wanted to expand coverage and services to more than just High School Football and Boys Basketball.

"WRLR gave the the chance to grow as a broadcaster, and person.  They also gave me the opportunity to get to know and become best friends with Bigg Jon Vic.  My first encounter with Bigg Jon was at a carnaville where WRLR was doing some fundraising with a dunk tank. I was in the tank and Jon was encouraging people to dunk me, while making fun of me at the same time.  From that bezar meeting grew a friendship today that is pricless to me personally.  Today while we are no longer at WRLR we still share the air on our show "Biggs Golf Talk" 

 

In addition to shows I had the opportunity to take on Sports for the station, and with my team that included Rusty Silber, Pat Cameron, and Matt Misiek we built the best High School Sports coverage in Illinois. This coverage while terrific was limited to Football and Boys Basketball, and Dennis felt that Girls sports as well as other less covered sports like Baseball and even Soccer shold be covered.  When it was clear this could not happen at the station, Dennis took a leap of faith to start LCSN.
